THAT YE MAY KNOW

What Does it Mean to Know?
[I] cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know... Eph. 1:16-18

This is a very important scripture, in that it explains how true knowledge is arrived at. Paul was writing about a prayer he prayed for the church at Ephesus. He prayed that God would grant them the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God. Paul prayed for the operation of the spirit of wisdom and revelation. Notice he did not pray for intelligence. Neither did he pray for strong reasoning power that they may be able to contain in their minds that knowledge of God. He prayed for something they could not possess naturally. He prayed for what only God could provide: the spirit of wisdom and revelation.

...that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power. Eph. 1:18,19.

No Excuse

Romans1:19-23
Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified Him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four-footed beasts, and creeping things.

Every person either accepts or rejects God and His gift of salvation made possible through His Son Jesus Christ. The second coming of Jesus draws nearer and nearer. Note that no excuse will be accepted for refusal to submit totally, your devotion and worship to God only. Do not think you are wise by living your life as you please now only to realise later what a fool you have been because that which is to be known of God is manifest, even His glory. Be wise, stop making up and giving excuses, today believe God, accept God’s gift of salvation and live. Amen.

KNOW IT AND YOU ARE FREE!

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:32[KJV]

Although many Bible versions render the above verse as, “the truth shall set you free,” to be set free is not exactly the same as to be made free. To be set free is the instance when that which kept a person in bondage was taken away: but it is possible for a person to still be in bondage in his mind, even when the yoke has already been removed because he does not know it. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Hos. 4:6[KJV]

PRAYER FOR ALL OUR PARTNERS

Those who first hoped in Christ have been destined and appointed to live for the praise of his glory.

We also who are in Christ mandated to disciple all the nations, together with all the partners in this ministry who have heard the word of truth, the gospel of our salvation, and have believed in him, have no doubt been sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory. For this reason, because of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the mentors, we do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in our prayers.
We pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you all a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has
called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power in us who believe, according to the working of his great might which he accomplished in Christ when he raised him from the dead and made him sit at his right hand in the heavenly places. AMEN.

A WORD FOR YOUR DAY

The principles of faith, hope, and love are three great principles revealed to us in the Word. Hope is the picture you see afar off; the flicker of light on the horizon on which you fix your gaze. Many things may try to dissuade you from seeing the picture, but never let it go. It’s one thing to look at the picture far away; it’s another thing to take possession of it and bring it into the NOW of your life; that’s faith! Faith is when you take possession of the picture you see afar off through your confessions. The third of these principles is love, and according to the Bible, it’s the greatest of the three. The reason hope doesn’t disappoint is because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit. We function with God through love; without love your faith wouldn’t work. I love the way the Message Translation renders Colossians 3:14: 'And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It’s your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it.
