Unfortunately, many Christians bear God a grudge. This is because most often than not, most were brought up on the wrong spiritual food. As a result, their own spiritual growth is severely stunted. But worse, they are not able to manifest the God-life in them in the world. This article is God's own love letter to you His beloved. Don't you want to know what your lover has to say?

I have been misunderstood many of the time by my own children and because of that the world also misunderstands my intentions, saith the Lord. There are many among my children who do not know me and as a result do not understand that my ways are the best for them. They have all sorts of ideas concerning me and my plans, which have been widely accepted without anyone bothering to find out whether they are true or not. And because many in the church harbour such misconceptions, the world also from what it picks up from them have similar ideas about me.
Many think I cannot be trusted, that if they dare leave their lives in my care I will destroy them. Some believe if they get too close to me I will take away their business. Some believe I am in to ensure that they dwell in poverty. Students stay clear of me because they think I will prevent them from doing well academically. They think I am not interested in their success and happiness. What they believe I am interested in alone is their abstinence from sin. As a result many of my children do not want to get that intimate with me lest I come in to spoil the show. It deepens my hurt that my children are not able to see who I really am: a loving father, a father who is jealous concerning his children, proud father who will stop at nothing to see to the welfare of his children. Many have not understood my love gift in the form of my son. So even though they have received him, they do not yet appreciate the kind of love with which I have loved them.
These misconceptions abound because few have sought to know my heart. Few have sought to know the truth. And because of the enduring ignorance, the devil, the deceiver, has succeeded in teaching his false doctrines to my children. He has misrepresented me to many and still does. This misrepresentation started from the Garden of Eden when the devil deceived the woman to eat of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Many have read this account, secretly harbouring a grudge against me in their hearts. They have considered me as the villain in this passage who put man in a tight corner, tempted him and lead him to fall. They claim I created the tree of the knowledge of good and evil to tempt man. But it is not so.
The tree of the knowledge of good and evil was part of my creation and therefore, as it was with all my creation, it was good. The commandment not to eat of the tree was to protect man. I was trying to protect man from eating something he was not yet ready to eat. Eventually man would have been allowed to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil but not before he had partaken of the tree of life. In trying to protect man, I told him what would happen to him as a matter of course should he eat the fruit. He would surely die. It was not a punishment. It was something that eating of the fruit was going to cause.
Gen. 2:16-17
And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
The devil now came in to paint a dark picture of me to the woman. He presented me as a wicked and selfish person who does not want them to be like him. Why would I create man in my image and in my likeness if I did not want him to be like me?
Gen. 1:26
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
The devil painted me as a liar in front of my choicest creation and they bought the devil's lie.
Gen. 3:4-5
And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
He presented me as the enemy of man and man believed him. He portrayed me as the one hiding the good things from man. But that was false. The question you may want to ask is, “who planted the beautiful garden which was to be man's home filled with all kinds of beautiful fruit bearing trees?” I did. They were all for man. Man the chief of all my creations.
Gen. 2:8
And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.
Eventually man ate the fruit and true to my word he died. Think about how it would feel if the person you love most thinks you do not love him and that you are not interested in his or her welfare but rather you are in to take away every form of joy in his or her life. And because of this thought treats you as the enemy by siding with the one you know is rather the enemy. Devastating right? That's how my children normally treat me. They believe the devil and take his side rather than mine. They believe his lies about me and are glad to go the way of the world because it presents fake happiness. They believe the way of the world is the best for them. But I have seen the end and I know it is that of destruction. I hold the blueprints to a successful and prosperous life but they cannot bring themselves to believe that. I love them but they cannot appreciate my love for them. Everything I do is for them but they think I do it for myself. How it hurts my heart.
My people stay away from me because the way I lead them is against the temporary desires of their flesh. Because I lead them away from their flesh, they think I am in to take all the fun out of their lives. They do not know that I am all for having fun. I like to put smiles on the faces of my children. I even created them with the capacity to have fun and that is in my nature because I am a fun God. Consider how the Israelites sang and danced when I defeated the Egyptians in the red sea. Consider my servant David who was so excited that he danced before me so much that he exposed his nakedness. Consider what I said in Isaiah.
Isaiah 61:3
To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
I want my children to have real joy. I do not want them to take delight in indulging in the desires of their flesh because it will not end well. The devil easily traps them this way.
Rom. 8:6
For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
See what happened to Adam and Eve in the garden. They sought for something outside my plan for them. They followed the desires of their flesh and it ended in a life of untold misery being in bondage to the devil
Gen. 3:6
And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
The devil makes you think I come to enslave you so you cannot be free to live when indeed he is the one who comes to enslave. I give the true freedom. Because, none of my creation is truly free till it is in union with me. I created you to dwell in me. I came to teach you how to live life to the maximum.
John 10:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
