NO MORE FRETTING

Many of the worries of the believer stem from the fact that he has not firmly grasped an accurate knowledge of God. Many have not known Him as Jehovah, the God who is present to work on behalf of His people. They may know Him as the Creator, the Judge, the King, etc. But not as a caring father who is always there for His children. They think God does not really want to help them so they will have to impress Him with a long and powerful prayer first before He will come to their aid. And that is very unfortunate. Indeed, beloved, there is a better way.
Peter knew this when he said, “Casting all your care [anxiety] upon him; for he careth for you (cf. 1Pet. 5:7).” Yes, God is telling you that you do not have to carry your cares because He CARES for you.

Read that repeatedly until it settles in your mind. Why care for yourself when God says He CARES for you?  He says, “Leave your troubles on me. I take pleasure in dissolving them.” He says He wants your cares. Why don't you just let Him have them? Is it concerning your academics? Quite frankly He says, “My child, I carry the solution. Let me have the problem and look to me for the solution? I can increase your understanding (cf. James 1:5). Why don't you allow me to do just that? Worrying and pitying yourself is not the solution. Resting in me is the solution.” Does it concern your final project? He says, “I have already determined your safe and victorious exit from school. I have the blueprint. Trust me, hold my hand and let me lead you out victoriously. Your worrying will rather cripple my plans for you because you will be giving the enemy the legal right to bring what you are scared of to pass. Remember the case of Job. He feared that one day all what he had will be taken away. He also talked his fear. And that removed the hedge I made around Him. Worries and anxieties short-circuit my power in your life. It is a sign of your lack of faith in me.”

For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me (cf. Job 3:25).

Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, doth Job fear God for nought? Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side (cf. Job 1:9,10)?

“Does it concern your health or that of your relative? I am the Lord that healeth thee. I took all sicknesses on Calvary's Tree so you will not bear them. Believe this and you will receive your healing. Does it concern your finances? I say unto you, the silver is mine and the gold is mine. I say, I, even I, will supply all your needs according to MY RICHES. Do you know how rich I am?  Is it chaos in the house? I say peace be still.”

Jesus gives a perfect illustration of how we are not to worry about anything:

Matt. 6:25-31: Therefore I say unto you, take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

He says, “Take no thought for your life.” Do not worry about your life. Worry is a clear sign of unbelief.  As you can see, this is not about being optimistic- far from it. It is reality because unlike wishful thinking which is a vain doctrine and which has no basis, this mindset is based on God who is the source of every good thing.  So Jesus said, “Seek ye first the kingdom [of God] and His righteousness and all other things will be added.”

But you have already entered the kingdom:  Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son (cf. Col. 1:13):

And you have received His righteousness:  For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him (cf. 2Cor. 5:21).

We are in the era of the 'all these things shall be added unto you.' Why don't you relax, trust and see the hand of God at work in your daily life bringing His promises to pass? No worries, no anxieties.

What the Lord requires is your believing; your faith at work producing certain actions. If it is something taught that you did not understand, put your faith to work by claiming wisdom to understand. If you have too many things to learn at a time, put your faith to work by claiming speedy assimilation. If there is no money in your pocket, put your faith to work by claiming the amount needed, etc. The options available to you for accessing the supplies of God are limitless. He wants you to see this so that you will not plunge into worries. Often, because the people of God fail to see, they easily forget that the Lord is with them. But He is with you my friend. Even when it appears you have failed at something, He is with you to help you recover. With Him, there can never be a difficult situation. There can never be a hopeless situation- only victory. Do not accept anything short of victory because the Lord wants none other for you.

Remember He will work on your behalf to the extent that you are able to believe. If you find yourself unable to hold on in faith, go to Him in prayer to find strength in faith. There you will receive a word, an assurance which will stir faith in you. The Lord will always lead you according to the level of your faith. This way, even the smallest in faith can be led by the Lord into victory in the manner that he can believe. Where then is worrying? Where then is anxiety? They have no place in our lives because Jehovah, God of heaven and all the earth, is on our side. O glory! What a wonder! How can we fail? How can we be defeated? How can we be tormented by sicknesses? How can we be touched by the devil?

Never! Impossible! Yes, rather we walk on in victory. We walk on in success. We walk on in health. We walk on in prosperity in every area of our lives. It is not a struggle. It is a REST. It is simple for us. Our Father takes care of us. He solves our problems for us. The only requirement is, 'be not anxious, be not fearful, only believe.' Keep your mind from the pervasive worries and anxieties of the world. Learn to keep your mind, for your mind is the battle ground. Stay your mind on Him and what He will do. Only believe, only trust and live your life to the full in His rest!
