GloryLife Conference

The Mentors International, a ministry called with the mandate to equip Christians to take their place as functional members in the body of Christ, has held its annual outreach dinner and awards’ night to reach out to other ministry-minded Christians.

The vision for the historic event dubbed Communion of Kings 2014, held at the Silicon Hotel at Mangoase, Kumasi, on the eve of the Easter, was to bring together members and other ministry-conscious Christians to celebrate and reflect on the work of the ministry. As such, there was no shortage of good food, drinks and Spirit-filled table discussions.

The President of the ministry, Jeffrey Walter Dadzeasah, congratulated the delegates for promptly responding to the love of God in receiving His callings. He noted that life may be seen as a battle for the hearts. Such that just as the world entices Christians to fall in love with it, God also constantly reveals His superior love to all men to the end that He may win their hearts. Ultimately, those who appreciate this divine love and receive it become lovers of God, of His work, and therefore ministers in the earth.

He, however, charged them to continue chalking exploits in their individual God-given callings by continually focussing on the unbridled love of God without which evangelism becomes a lifeless activity. As the man of God ministered the word of love, God won many hearts that day.

As is fit, outstanding members and committees were also honoured for their dedication to God’s work and awarded for their hardwork in building God’s church.

New Creation Cell picked the award for ‘Cell of the Year 2013/2014,’ as the ‘Committee of the Year’ went to the Camp Meeting Committee. Five members, viz: Clara Efua Mensah (Head of Finance), Theresa Addai-Yeboah, Nii Okai Adjaidoo, Enoch Halm Quayson and Michael Ofori-Kyere, were honoured for their outstanding service to the ministry.

For their outstanding service to their respective cells, the following members were also honoured: John Justice Gyesi and Portia Boadi (for Charis Cell), Theresa Addai–Yeboah, Richmond Addo and Theresa Addai-Yeboah (for Philadelphia Cell), Nana Yaa Boateng and Belinda Osei-Tutu (for New Creation Cell).

The rest were Isaac Owusu and Ebenezer Odoom (for Heroes of Faith Cell), Nene Amoatey and Ato Tabbica (God's Generals Cell), Rebecca Arthur and Ama Sakyiwaa Boateng (for Barakah Cell).

THE GRASS WITHERETH

For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you. (1 Pet 1: 24, 25)

Our opening scripture presents a truth about the natural life that I believe is often neglected. This truth is that the natural life, which is the flesh, is a life of decay. It is a life in decline which has it’s ultimate in death. Anyone who has attended a funeral before should know that like grass, the natural life does not last. Anyone who puts his trust in the natural life will soon find out that it is frail and fleeting and as such cannot be trusted unlike the eternal word of God which lives and abides forever.

WHOSE RESPONSIBILITY ARE YOU? PART 3 - It Is Unconditional

Seeing then that we have a great high priest that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God; let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.(Heb 4:14-16)

Hebrews chapter 4 talks about how the Christian, by belief in the finished work of Christ, has been ushered into a place of rest in God where he has ceased from all his works. One thing that many believers find difficult to do is to still access the blessings and provisions of God for them when they have committed an ‘abominable’ sin or messed up their lives badly in certain ways. They feel that then, they have not worked for God’s blessings as they should. The problem is often rooted in one’s socializing process. Many of such people have been given the wrong information and so the true picture of God’s love is not well painted to them. Consequently, they do not abide in the Lord’s rest as they ought to.

WHOSE RESPONSIBILITY ARE YOU? PART 2 - The Warranty

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them
who are the called according to his purpose. Jas 1:16,17 Do not err, my beloved brethren. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning (
Rom 8:28 ).

Often times, manufacturers of goods and services who want to maintain a high standard in the market offer warranties on their products. First of all, I believe that the warranty they place on the product is a mark of their confidence in the quality of the product and a seal of its quality. A warranty is defined as a guarantee given to the purchaser by a company stating that a product is reliable and free from known defects and that the seller will without charge, repair or replace defective parts within a given time limit and under certain conditions.

WHOSE RESPONSIBILITY ARE YOU? PART 1

Know that the LORD, He is God. He has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture. (Psalms 100:3)

I personally believe that the sweetest position you can occupy in this life is to have someone bearing responsibility for your life. It is like a child who wakes up every day knowing that what he will need for the day is the sole responsibility of his parents. He wakes up not worrying about his school fees; whether it is paid or not. What this child knows to do best is to put on his uniform, pick up his bag and off he goesto school. He does not presume to bear any responsibility for his own fees at all and neither does he assume such responsibility at all.

WHERE IS YOUR BROTHER?

Let Brotherly Love Continue (Heb 13:1 )

One of the most shocking accounts related to us in the Bible is the account of Cain’s
assassination of his brother Abel. Even though I first heard of it when I was only a child
without much spiritual understanding, the horror of this account so pierced my heart that it moved me to tears. Look at it:

And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cainrose up against Abel his brother, and slew him. And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? Andhe said, I know not: Am I my brother’s keeper? (Gen 4:8,9 )

WHO DO YOU SAY I AM

Do not err, my beloved brethren. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning
(James 1:16,17)

The perception we hold of God ultimately determines how we relate with Him. Those who see God as a wicked, inconsiderate judge also determine to stay clear of Him. Those who see Him as a sovereign Lord who chooses to do whatever He wants with His people at anytime and has not their interest at heart do not trust Him. Those who think He does not care do not pray to Him. Those who think He wants them to suffer remain in their sufferings. On the other hand, those who believe He loves them have a loving relationship with Him. Those who believe He has their best interest at heart commit their lives totally to Him. Those who believe He is caring pray to Him. But can God be everything everyone believes Him to be? Certainly not. God doesn’t change; we must understand that it is the way we see Him that may either be accurate or inaccurate.
