WHOSE RESPONSIBILITY ARE YOU? PART 2 - The Warranty

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them
who are the called according to his purpose. Jas 1:16,17 Do not err, my beloved brethren. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning (
Rom 8:28 ).

Often times, manufacturers of goods and services who want to maintain a high standard in the market offer warranties on their products. First of all, I believe that the warranty they place on the product is a mark of their confidence in the quality of the product and a seal of its quality. A warranty is defined as a guarantee given to the purchaser by a company stating that a product is reliable and free from known defects and that the seller will without charge, repair or replace defective parts within a given time limit and under certain conditions.

Impliedly, the warranty is also a firm promise to the user that the producer will undertake to ensure that the purchased product will serve out its intended purpose and bring joy to the user and not regret. The producer, in placing the warranty on the product, expects that the product will serve the consumer in its full capacity and give the very best of satisfaction to the consumer.

Heb 6:13,14 For when God made promise to Abraham [and to his seed], because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself, Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee…Heb 6:16-18 For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife. Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

Likewise, God also, in demonstrating His desire for you to live life to the fullest and fulfill your divine purpose places a warranty on your life. It should tell you something. It should tell you that you cannot fail. It should tell you that you never walk alone. Indeed the Lord has sworn to bless you. It is an oath. It is a warranty that He places on your life. You may not have everything under control as you may want it to be. But do not despair at all. Do not despair because of the warranty; God’s firm undertaking that you will make it in life. Do not despair because of the oath. Do not despair because the Scripture says that God swore by himself to bless you. Where is anxiety now! Just flee for refuge and lay hold upon this hope. Just activate the warranty.

In this world, man’s warranties are usually for a specific period of time. Producers of things in this world usually have a conditional and time-limited warranty on their products. But beloved, I submit to you that the warranty of God is eternal; it is forever; it lasts beyond time; and it is unconditional. His warranty is simply everlasting.

And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee (
Gen 17:7 ).

His everlasting covenant (warranty) is to ensure that you are made perfect in all good things. The writer of the book of Hebrews prays that: Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well-pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Indeed his warranty is for all time. He is committed to ensuring that all things that he has
produced are in their best conditions and functioning at their best for as long as they exist. He is committed to ensuring that all that He has produced serves his client in the best way for all time. And who is His client? Beloved, you are His client. God is committed to serving you with the best and also ensure that what He has provided for you remain in the best condition. All that He has made: the sun and moon, the earth, the seas and rivers, animals, plants, etc., they are made by Him to serve His client – Man, in their best conditions. Yes, His everlasting covenant (warranty) is with man.

When God created man, He made man in the best form and quality; and He is committed to ensuring that this quality is sustained. Beloved, there is a warranty on your life; the commitment of God to ensure that all aspects of your life are in the best condition always. God is committed to ensuring that all that He has provided for you, all that you have, all that He has made you and all that you are in the best conditions all the time. God wants you to be the best and have the best in all things at all times. It’s an everlasting warranty!

Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture (
Ps 100:3).

God made you and gave you the New Life; He is responsible for you. He is responsible for
the warranty. It is He who made you and not yourself; and He is committed to ensuring that all things are working well for you. You don’t own the responsibility for the warranty on your life. That everlasting warranty to ensure that your life is in the best condition always, you don’t bear it; God does! You are not the one responsible for your health; He is! You are not the one responsible for your wealth; He is! You are not responsible for any goodness that should be in your life; God is. All you need to do is to connect with Him and lay hold on these provisions of the warranty. If you did not make yourself, then you are not responsible for the warranty. God is responsible for it. Your part in the warranty is to make use of it.

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the broken-hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised (Luke 4:18)

Are you having problems with your health, there is a warranty there for you in Christ. Christ died for your redemption and resurrected for your glorification. Is your financial situation messy? That is not the standard He created you to be in. Refer it to Him for restoration. Are you having academic challenges? Problems with your job? Problems with sin? He is responsible for the warranty on your life; the warranty that is to ensure that you are in the best and have the best. Don’t hold on to the malfunctioning. Why would you want to live with a sub-standard thing when there is a warranty that is available to restore it to the original quality – the quality of God. He is calling for all malfunctioning or faulty areas of your life to restore them.

He did not make you a New Creation to live a sub-standard life. He made you to be the very best. Use the warranty. Allow Him to take His responsibility. Above all remember that He has pleasure in ensuring that you have and are the best always. Amen.
